Head of Sales Shnuggle – Baby Products
This award-winning privately-owned organisation had grown to a level that the owners needed someone to take on the leadership of the Sales team across the UK and Ireland and develop the commercial strategy for the business to grow further.
The Assignment:
We were contacted by the owners of the business who where clear on what they wanted from the role, but needed guidance on what type/level of person they should be looking for and how they should go about it.
The Process:
At our initial meeting we took the time to understand their business and then outlined the current market and what they could expect to get from the market. It was agreed that we would approach the market to identify a spread of individuals from the market, so they could weigh up the value that individuals would add, depending on their salary expectations. We developed a job description and person specification and approached a large number of potentially suitable individuals. We discussed the opportunity that the role and company offered and sought to understand what motivated and drove them. Those with relevant skills and whose ambition matched that of the existing team at Shnuggle, where invited to meet with the company. We worked closely with the client to assess fit of with their team as well as the merits of their relative skills and experience.
The Outcome:
A successful placement was made, and the individual is in place with the company continuing to grow and the owners have been able to step back a little to focus on product development and strategy.
